Information we collect

Information you give us: when you email or call us, we receive your name, email address, phone number, company, and anything you include in your message, such as a creative brief, budget, or timeline.

Information collected automatically: when you browse the site, our service providers collect technical data such as pages viewed, referring site, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and video playback events. We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect payment information on this site.

How we use it

We use personal information to respond to inquiries, prepare bids and produce work with the studios we represent, understand how the site is used so we can improve it, measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and keep the site secure.

We do not sell personal information, and we only share it with studios or partners when that is needed to respond to your request.

Service providers and cookies

Vercel hosts the site and provides Vercel Web Analytics, which measures page views without using cookies.

Google Ads (Google tag) uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure when visits result from our advertising. You can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com or block cookies in your browser settings.

Mux streams the videos on the site and collects playback performance data, such as device, browser, and approximate location.

Sanity stores and delivers the site's content and images.

These providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

Retention and security

We keep correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting project, and as required for legal and accounting purposes. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's own retention settings. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to our use of it, by emailing ben@beautifuluniverse.cc. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
